2025 Review: Why Every Story We Shared Had Purpose
As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a year in which we supported hundreds of people in rebuilding their lives after accidents, injury, and illnesses that should never have happened. Every story we shared this year had a purpose – to raise awareness and show those affected by negligence that they have a specialist team ready to stand with them.
Below is a month-by-month look at the topics we explored throughout the year and why they mattered.
January – The dangers of driving with poor eyesight
We began the year with a crucial reminder about road safety: many people continue to drive despite no longer meeting the legal eyesight standard. Our January blog explained how poor vision affects reaction times, increases accident risk and puts both drivers and passengers in danger. We broke down the UK’s eyesight laws, outlined warning signs that someone’s vision may no longer be safe for driving, and offered guidance on how to approach difficult conversations with loved ones. It was an important start to the year, highlighting a preventable risk that too often goes unnoticed until it’s too late.
February – Supporting survivors during Sexual Abuse and Violence Awareness Week
We marked Sexual Abuse and Violence Awareness Week by standing with survivors and amplifying their experiences. Our message was clear: it is never too late to seek justice. We explained how we provide a safe, confidential space for those who have experienced sexual abuse or sexual violence to understand their legal options. Many people told us they felt reassured knowing they could speak with a solicitor without pressure or judgment. This week remains one of the most important moments in our annual calendar and reflects our commitment to supporting some of the most vulnerable people in society.
March – Men’s mental health after brain injury
March’s focus was on a growing crisis: men’s mental health following a brain injury. Our blog explored the psychological impact that often sits beneath the physical symptoms, depression, anxiety, personality changes and emotional regulation difficulties. We highlighted how untreated mental health issues increase the risk of long-term complications and can place enormous strain on families. Many men delay seeking help due to stigma or a belief that they must “cope alone,” so we used March to make it clear that specialist support is available. This piece became one of our most widely shared posts of the spring.
April – Raising awareness during Allergy Awareness Week
April brought Allergy Awareness Week, and we used it to highlight the serious and sometimes life-threatening consequences of inadequate allergy precautions. Allergic reactions can happen anywhere, in restaurants, workplaces, and schools, and the effects can be devastating. Our content emphasised that when an allergic reaction occurs due to poor labelling, cross-contamination or a failure to follow medical advice, the law is on your side. We supported readers in understanding their rights and encouraged those affected to seek legal advice. Many people were surprised to learn just how preventable most severe allergic reactions are.
May – Why rehabilitation must include mental health support
In May, we focused on rehabilitation after an accident and why physical recovery alone is not enough. Too many people are given a leaflet and told to “look into therapy,” which isn’t sufficient. We explained how we arrange and manage comprehensive rehabilitation packages, including psychological support, fully funded as part of the legal claim. By coordinating everything from assessments to treatment and follow-up care, we ensure progress isn’t delayed. Readers appreciated the clarity on what proper rehabilitation should look like and the reassurance that they don’t have to navigate this process by themselves.
June – What to do if you have an accident abroad
June’s content supported those who experienced accidents while on holiday. Travel claims can feel overwhelming, especially when medical care, insurance requirements and foreign authorities are involved. We shared clear advice on what to do: seek medical help promptly, report the incident, notify your insurer, retain all evidence, and speak to a solicitor who specialises in accidents abroad. Many people reached out after realising they had more rights than they initially thought. This post was particularly timely as the holiday season approached, helping travellers feel more confident and informed.
July – The rise of dishonest personal injury claim allegations
In July, we tackled a worrying trend: insurers and defendants misusing fraud-prevention rules to wrongly accuse genuine claimants of dishonesty. We explained how these tactics can intimidate those already coping with injury and uncertainty. We highlighted why being represented by an experienced solicitor is essential, and how we challenge false allegations to protect our clients’ credibility and compensation. This became one of our most engaged posts of the summer, with many readers sharing their own concerns or past experiences of unfair treatment during the claims process.
August – When cosmetic procedures go wrong
August explored a growing issue as more people turn to Botox and cosmetic treatments. While these procedures may seem routine, complications can occur, such as swelling, infection, nerve damage and long-lasting cosmetic results that leave people distressed. We explained what happens when treatments aren’t carried out safely and what rights people have if they suffer harm due to negligence. As demand for cosmetic procedures continues to rise, this topic resonated strongly with readers and reinforced the importance of checking qualifications, premises standards, appropriate insurance and medical safeguards.
September – Britain’s e-bike boom
In September, we examined the rapid rise of e-bikes across the UK and the increase in related accidents. Our blog explored the common causes of collisions, how e-bike speed and weight affect injury risk, and the legal responsibilities of riders, drivers and manufacturers. With more people using e-bikes, we provided guidance on what to do if you’re involved in an accident and how liability is assessed. This educational piece helped the public understand a fast-changing area of personal injury law.
October – Silica dust: The invisible workplace hazard
In November, we drew attention to silica dust, a silent but deadly danger in many industries. Our blog explained how inhaling silica dust can lead to life-changing respiratory diseases and why better safety measures are urgently needed. We outlined employers’ responsibilities and what workers should do if they believe they’ve been exposed. Many readers shared the post with colleagues, raising awareness in sectors where the risks are still underestimated. This was one of our most important workplace-safety topics of the year.
November – Adventure activities and what to know before you book
We produced a practical guide on staying safe during adventure activities, from climbing and zip-lining to water sports and outdoor challenges. As more families book activity-based experiences, we looked at what participants should check before taking part, what to do if an activity goes wrong and how liability is assessed. November’s focus reminded readers that even fun, memorable experiences can lead to injury if safety standards aren’t followed and that if negligence is involved, support is available.
December – The dangers of unsafe Christmas gifts
In December, we turned our attention to a growing problem: unsafe products being sold through online marketplaces. With millions of people buying Christmas gifts from third-party sellers, we highlighted how sub-standard items, from electricals to children’s toys, can cause serious injury. Our message was clear: marketplaces should be held to the same safety standards as manufacturers, and the law urgently needs tightening to protect shoppers.
