A slip, trip or fall can result in long-lasting injuries requiring medical attention for months even years after an accident.

Our client slipped on decking at a holiday home which was wet and covered in slime. The lighting was poor and there were no warning signs in the vicinity. She sustained a fractured humerus, injury to her knee and bruising to her head.

She came to NV Legal for advice and we agreed to take on her case. The owners of the holiday home denied liability, so we issued proceedings against them.

We obtained medical evidence and arranged for our client to have an MRI scan to determine her injures.

The defendant continued to deny liability. However, a few weeks before the trial they made an offer to settle the case, after successful negotiation the claimant settled for the sum of £15,000.
